Cold Treatment Modulates Changes in Primary Metabolites and Flowering of Cut Flower Tulip Hybrids

چکیده

Tulip is one of the most important bulbous genera in world’s floriculture. It known that cold exposure bulbs before planting required to break bulb dormancy and promote plant’s flowering. Preparation procedures performed by breeders differ duration thermal level, choice procedure depends on genotype’s sensitivity temperature; however, little about metabolic responses underlying different behaviours numerous commercial hybrids. We evaluated influence two bulb-preparation procedures, 15–18 weeks at 5 ÷ 9 °C, 9–14 2 hybrids tulip (Tulipa gesneriana L.), ‘Royal Virgin’ ‘Ad Rem’, grown hydroponically a floating system. plants responded differently low temperatures terms early flowering, as this was unaffected preparation (27.1 days from transplanting, average), while it earlier after treatment higher compared with lower Rem’ (24.1 vs. 26.7 °C °C). This flowering earliness may be related diverse enacted for acclimation depended hybrid x treatment. Plant leaf area flower stem characteristics were similar procedure.

Postharvest Assessment of Lignifying Enzymes Activity, Flower Stem Lignification and Bending Disorder of Gerbera Cut Flower

Scape bending disorder is the most important factor affecting postharvest loss of gerbera cut flowers. One of the ultimate reasons for gerbera stem bending is lignin, with deformation structural functions and defensive mechanisms. This postharvest experiment was conducted to evaluate the role of phenylalanine ammonia lyase (PAL) and peroxidase (POD) enzymes activity in stem bending of two gerbe...

Effect of Gibberellic Acid Pulsing and Sucrose Continuous Treatment on Some Qualitative Characteristics of Cut Rose Flower cv. Velvet

The aim of this study was the better assessment of the relationship of pulsing treatment of gibberellic acid as an anti-senescence agent and holding in sucrose as a carbohydrate supply resource on improving some qualitative and physiological attributes of cut rose flower cv. Velvet. Hence, an experiment involving the pulsing treatment with gibberllic acid (GA3) at 0, 20, 40 and 60 mg L-1, for 2...

Effects of Silver Nanoparticles (SNPs) Pulsing Treatment and Sucrose Holding on Flower and Leaf Senescence of Cut Rose

This experiment was carried out to evaluate the effect of silver nanoparticles pulsing treatment (0, 25, 75 and 125 mg L−1) on vase life and some postharvest physiological parameters of cut rose flower ʻHigh & Magicʼ in sucrose solution (0, 2 and 3%). This research performed as a factorial experiment based on a completely randomized design with three replications under 23 ± 2 °C, 60 ± 5% RH and...
